Foto Fridays

My laptop is still away getting fixed, so you'll have to put up with some other peoples photography. probably will be more enjoyable anyway!

Max Wanger
Saw this guys works in a tiny little section in the paper today, so did the usual n google'd him. Really really like his work. His wedding photography a few posts down has an amazing feeling to it. The way that he combines very classic composition but then throws in very unusual composition and focus.

I also said this would be a blog bigging up my friends as well, so here we are:

Piers Cunliffe
A very good friend of mine who has really carved out a solid position for himself working as a freelance photographer in Bath.
The link is to a recent project of his with an aerial artist. I love the way she sits against the background of the trees and the way that it is lit. Check out the rest of the blog as well.
Piers keeps it regularly updated with his stuff and they are always awesome photos.

Rob Young
I met Rob through two mutual friends down in London who he lived with. He works as a designer so has an eye for composition and his pictures have just got better and better.
The use of flash in the photo is amazing. I've seen it used before but not as effectively as this. The way that it has caught the rain as well. Just awesome.

Kate Owen
Now not photography, but shot on a camera so im gonna claim it.
Kate's final film for her course at university, Documentary Film and Video at UWNewport.
I saw it as a rough cut and it was good then and the final cut is even better. The story of the video flows really well. Stunning cinematography helps to solidify a great story told in a different way showing how one place can bring people from different ways of life together.
