I've been pretty slack with the camera this week.
I shot this back on Monday, when we still had sunshine, it's been cloudy/raining the rest of the week.
I've been loving the low sunlight recently and having put my 50mm f1.8 on the other week, its stayed on there and i forgot how much i love it!!

It's amazing the amount of stuff that is available at our disposal these days.
Having just got back from town, I did the usual check the ole Facebook and Twitter and it came up trumps with a couple of cool pieces.
One being an edit of my favourite rider, by a long way, Ruben Alcantara. The other being a collection of WWII photos in colour, shot on the greatest film ever made, Kodachrome.

Piers Cunliffe Interview
I have always had the thought of using this blog as a way to give friends of mine a bit of coverage when it comes to getting their names out and helping them.
I met Piers at uni in my first year on the ski trip and we quickly found we had a hell of a lot in common.
Having spent enough time with him, climbing, skiing, printing photos in the darkrooms or even just chatting shit with a cuppa in hand, I have to say he is one of the most self motivated people I know.
Be kind this is the first interview I've done, its nothing serious, just finding out a bit more about Piers.

Alright kids.
Sorry for the lateness of this, was feeling pretty shite yesterday and kinda forgot to do this, but here it is, just a day later.
I was at 'AwesomeFest' at the weekend, which was, well, awesome!
A mixture of Drift cars, Moto-X, BMX and decent music. Wasn't quite a car show and wasn't quite a Festival. Either way, it was dope, and I got very very sunburnt. So here are some tribute videos.
(I think this is just giving me more reasons to want to go to Japan!)

Photo Phriday?
I know I'm a day early, but surely it's better than a day late, non?
I'm away for the weekend, so getting this up earlier rather than when I come back to catch up on things.
I've been with the family this week so tried to get some candid portraits of my sisters kids, but they were having none of it, either outright posing or being too shy/silly to look at the camera.
So I've done something I haven't done for a long time and shot Black and White photos!!

Dancehall Tubesday.
A car forum that I'm on has a wicked thread of dancehall/reggae tracks and ive been browsing that a fair amount lately.
A lot of tracks feature pretty heavily in ski/snowboard so it's only fitting to throw up some tracks.

WERRRRRRRRRD!
Been away for the weekend, so no time for updates, but also now have my laptop back after smashing the screen on the 3rd day out of a 6month stay in Canada. good one dick'ed!!!

Saw this guys works in a tiny little section in the paper today, so did the usual n google'd him. Really really like his work. His wedding photography a few posts down has an amazing feeling to it. The way that he combines very classic composition but then throws in very unusual composition and focus.
I also said this would be a blog bigging up my friends as well, so here we are:

The link is to a recent project of his with an aerial artist. I love the way she sits against the background of the trees and the way that it is lit. Check out the rest of the blog as well.

I met Rob through two mutual friends down in London who he lived with. He works as a designer so has an eye for composition and his pictures have just got better and better.
The use of flash in the photo is amazing. I've seen it used before but not as effectively as this. The way that it has caught the rain as well. Just awesome.

Downhill racing taking to the next stage. I really miss riding bikes with big tyres and squishy suspension.
Wish I had never sold the Kona I built up. Don't get me wrong, I'll never stop riding bmx or fixed/road, but downhill is so much fun.

Just been busy the last few days really, so havnt had time to post, plus I'm not on my laptop so I'm not online as much.
Ive set myself a challenge once my laptop is back and I have the ability to edit photos again and that is to upload a shot each friday. Foto Friday. This'll be something new for me and to get me off my ass and get shooting more often.
Also been looking at getting some stickers and t-shirts done. Just for a laugh really, but they [the t-shirts] will of course be in rediculous sizes!

It feels weird not to have music on when I'm just chilling around the house, in the car, riding, etc....

Daily Awesome
This isn't the most awesome thing from today, although this is fucking amazing.
Best thing about today, is that DFTU have surfaced again! Standing for 'don't fuck the underage' or 'distribution for the underground' changed the face of English BMX back in 2004/5/6. And being from just 2 villages over from me back home, thats pretty awesome.
FUCK YEAH!
all the new tricks in bmx are pretty dope, but nothing compares to this kind of riding for me...

I currently have an exceedingly boring job, marking exam papers, so my mind tends to wander a little bit from what i should be doing.
During one of these brief forays from the conscious today I was thinking about what im going to put in the blog. I've had other blogs before but Ive done one post and then forgotten about them/the password and have subsequently posted no more stuff, but that shall not be the case with this one.
Im going to basically use it to big my mates up, as they are all pretty rad people (hence why they are my friends) and a lot are pretty creative in their ways.
I was thinking of a some questions for mini interviews and a little showcase of their work. For me, they will all be connected to what I love to do as well; Ski, shoot photos, make/listen to music and ride bikes.
Also I'll try and get a daily bit of awesome up on here as well. So a song, video, photo or something along those lines.
And....last but not least, I have given the login details to a few other people, so hopefully they will show their faces and post some stuff from time to time too.

Bonjour...
Im missing skiing, so just a place to keep all random shit to do with skiing and general shit in one place.
Gonna try and get some help with this, so its more regular and interesting.
